Why Mother Mary is Our Example of Kindness
Mother Mary is known as the “Mother of Mercy.” But what does that mean for us today? It means she has a heart that is always open.
She Listens with Love When we feel worried or alone, we can look to Mary. She was a mother who cared for her family with great patience. She teaches us that kindness starts with listening and being present for others.
She Helps Without Being Asked In the Bible, at the wedding in Cana, Mary noticed the family ran out of wine. She didn’t wait for them to ask for help; she saw the need and acted. We can follow her example by:
- Helping a friend before they have to ask.
- Checking on someone who looks sad.
- Being a “helping hand” in our own homes.
A Simple Prayer for Kindness: “Mother Mary, help me to have a heart like yours. Teach me to be kind in my words and helpful in my actions today. Amen.”
